Management

Management Structure
Key to the success of the GeoSafe project will be translation and communication of the results/outputs in order to maximise their impact within the UK GDF programme. Central to the achievement of this goal will be regular and open communication with Nuclear Waste Services (NWS), through both the Management Committee and the Advisory Board.

The Management Committee will comprise the Project Principal Investigator (PI), the NWS Representative, the three Challenge Leads, the two CCT leads, the seven WP leads and the NWS subject matter experts assigned to each challenge and WP, the EDI chair, and a representative from the Post-Doctoral Research Associates (PDRA) and PhD cohorts. At the six-monthly MC meetings, each Challenge and CCT Lead will report progress, and the committee will discuss and agree actions related to Key Performance Indexes (KPI), and next steps.

The translation of results, data, and understanding between WPs will be coordinated by the CCT leads, who will report to the Management Committee on a six-monthly basis. CCT research groups, including NWS subject matter experts (SMEs), will meet between Management Committee meetings to ensure alignment of the research as the projects develop, and to ensure integration between the various WPs.

The overall management structure of the GeoSafe project is illustrated in the following chart:
