GeoSafe is taking a proactive step towards fostering a culture of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) by establishing an EDI Committee. This committee, consisting of a combination of GeoSafe researchers of many career stages, will play a pivotal role in overseeing the project’s EDI strategy, collecting feedback, and implementing actions to enhance inclusivity. Comprising members from different institutions and disciplines, the committee aims to provide a comprehensive and interdisciplinary perspective on EDI matters within the GeoSafe project. Those contributing to this committee will be recognised as the EDI Champions of GeoSafe.
Adriana Paluszny from Imperial College London currently serves as the EDI Committee Chair, and in this capacity, she will actively participate in GeoSafe Management Committee and Advisory Board meetings, promoting EDI considerations as integral components to the project’s overall management and decision-making processes.
